The Story So Far:

The Eagles are back to winning ways and how! Hammering Vasco FC for 3 goals at Home in a fantastic second-half display!

With the boys looking to be back to their very best, they will look to Guardian Angels as an opportunity that cannot go missing. Capitalizing on their form and making a late push for the title once again will be the only matter on their agenda, as the boys know with 5 games still remaining in the campaign, they could very well, make the impossible happen.

With Top Scorer Joaquim Abranches and Young gun, Suraj Hadkonkar back to their goal-scoring best, the Eagles will have plenty of optimism and firepower heading into today’s matchup, especially after having beaten the visitors at home in the previous fixture.

Back then the goals were scored equally by both Suraj Hadkonkar and Latesh Mandrekar, who’s late cameo in the previous game after a minor injury means he will be available from the start for this one too.

The Opposition:

Positioned in seventh place just 6 points off the fifth spot, the visitors won’t be a pushover and will be hoping to push the Eagles, who have not been in a great vein of form.

The Eagles will look to the fact that the visitors have conceded twice as many goals as them, with 37 goals being scored against Guardian Angel FC this campaign, 4 of those coming from the Eagles.

Keeping in mind their shaky defense and a rejuvenated Dempo attack, this matchup has all the requirements to be an entertaining one from a neutrals point of view.

Players To Watch:

Joaquim Abranches: Back amongst the goals, the main man from Dempo will be looking for a late push to end the season amongst the best.

Currently, in 7th place in the goal-scoring charts with 6 goals to his name, the veteran striker will be looking at climbing up the rank and could be one to watch as he will look to spearhead Samir Naik’s attack once again.
