Most people today only rely on the word of others when talking about what sort of player he was. But Inacio Fernandes is always spoken of in glowing terms. He was an automatic choice at right-back for the club since its inception in 1967 and part of the line-up for a long time. He had admirable command over the ball and was a good reader of the game too and thus exerted a major influence on the proceedings as a result.
