Head Coach Samir Naik has called up 16 Youth Development players for first-team training, as the Golden Eagles continue preparation for the Goa Professional League, which has been slated to take place later this month.

After an impressive run in the Hero Elite League that was cut short due to the Pandemic, the boys have taken the next step in their development cycle as Professional Football players.

Ryan Souza, Kanaiya Kamti, Darrell Mascarenhas, Necio Maristo Fernandes, Velanco Elisson Rodrigues, Myron Flaviano Fernandes, Vinay Harji, Danstan Randall Fernandes, Nigel Fernandes, Saiesh Bagkar, Aman Govekar, Glen Fernandes, Jimmy Colaco, Laston Baretto, Richon Oliveira & Vieri Colaco will all join the team that has been currently practicing at the Dempo Academy Facility at Ella. 

The team will continue their Pre-Season preparations at the Academy, ahead of their first-round match in the Goa Professional League on 1st February 2020.

Speaking about the call-up, Anju Turambekar, Technical Director, Dempo SC said the following, “Since the inception of the Dempo Sports Club Academy, our primary goal has been to mold young footballers to represent the Golden Eagles and help further our glorious legacy in Indian football. Our vision is to build a strong ecosystem within the club. We are happy and proud to see our boys being involved in the senior team from the youth set-up. This is how we plan to be able to build a ladder for our players to grow from Grassroots to Senior via the Youth pathway.“
